My son, Chris, is just like his dad and does not like to have his picture taken. When the opportunity presented itself for Chris to have a senior photo session with Kim and Kelly, he certainly did not jump at the chance; in fact, he was ready to run the other way. He just had pictures taken for the yearbook–and pretty much, that was enough for him.
BUT……… because Mom really wanted him to have the pictures taken, he agreed to do it for me. I love outside shots–and I knew they had some awesome places pre-selected to use as background for the photos, including the golf course where my son works and golfs. A good friend of his (also a golfer and co-worker) was going to have pictures taken at the same time. In fact, it was his mom that introduced the idea to me–as she is a friend to both Kim and Kelly. So, I figured it was a win-win. I get some great pics–and he gets to go through the process with a good friend. Easy, right?
Well, Chris survived the photo shoot———-and, the result was amazing. Kim and Kelly took so many great pictures. They were able to capture Chris–looking very relaxed–with his natural smile; they brought out the best in him! I literally spent hours–and I do mean lots of hours over numerous days–looking at the proofs on the computer trying to decide what pictures I would choose. Ultimately, I decided on a collage for my entrance hallway; it turned out so well. We have received so many compliments on it! I also ordered individual pics that we will use at graduation time–I know our relatives will love them!
Not only were the pictures amazing, but the customer service I received was top-notch. I had lots of questions–both with setting up the photo shoot, and then with choosing the pics, pricing, options, etc. Kim and/or Kelly always got back to me almost immediately with an answer. They were extremely patient with me–and I have recommended them highly to various friends and neighbors.
I am also thrilled to say that they chose some of Chris’s photos to be featured on their website–one was even a favorite of theirs for 2013! All I can say is–I am glad I had a friend who referred Chris to KB Portraits–and I am so happy that my son agreed to the photo session. Because of Nicole, Kim, Kelly, and Chris, we now have senior memories that will last us a lifetime.
I love capturing memories of our family and so every year I gather my not so enthusiastic husband, my oldest who is also less than thrilled and my rambunctious younger one for our once a year family pictures. We’ve had issues with photographers in the past who get irritated and rude because our kids either don’t cooperate or the photographer has no clue how to work with kids. I went into this year skeptical about pictures and decided I’d try a different setting and a completely different approach, which led us to KB Portraits. Kim and Kelly worked with our family and captured what were the BEST shots of our kids, family and shots with my husband and myself. The creativity both ladies have really shows in their work. I who am usually uptight in photo sessions was so laid back and just let them do their thing and I was not disappointed! Our family session was a great experience and I can’t wait for the next time!!!!
